I want to thank everyone who submitted hours to our volunteer contest this year. What an outstanding group of people you are! Your communities are truly blessed to have you and your commitment. A total of 28 people turned in 5,152.5 hours of volunteer service. They served in 32 organizations, including several Dental Hygiene related programs. 1,435 hours were turned in for service within the UDHA.      "My recent trip to the dental school in Honduras  was definitely a life enriching experience.  Not only  did we serve  very gracious and appreciative patients,  but  we were able to teach many dental students to sharpen instruments and the correct techniques for ultrasonic scaling.   We left them with new  skills that will enhance their careers and serve many people in years to come.  This one week with us may well be their total clinical hygiene training."
