Dental Emergencies in Utah: Is the ER the best option?

Did you know over the last 13 years, there were nearly 56,000 admissions to Utah hospital emergency departments for dental care related to non-traumatic and preventable diagnoses? This resulted in a nearly $52 million tab. Michelle Martin, RDH and Oral Health Specialist with the Utah Health Department, writes about the impact that these visits are having in our emergency departments, to our communities, and to our patients. Poster Session Abstracts Are Due!

The American Dental Hygienists’ Association (ADHA) is proud to host the Research Poster Sessions at this year’s Annual Conference! This event provides dental hygiene researchers and educators the opportunity to present their work, exchange ideas and share information and effective strategies for teaching and mentoring research with their colleagues and dental hygienists from various settings. The submission period to participate in this year’s Research Poster Sessions will be open until March 6, 2020. Go to the ADHA website here for more information and to submit your abstract!
