About the event
Where do things stand with fluoride?
In 2025, the Utah Legislature adopted a law ending community water fluoridation. Current and future dental professionals might wonder how this could affect treatment decisions and patient interactions. To provide you with answers and guidance, the Utah Dental Hygienists’ Association is sponsoring an educational session on Wednesday, January 28, hosted at Weber State University Davis Campus
Two renowned speakers from the American Fluoridation Society will summarize recent research on fluoride and review options for fluoride use and their effectiveness. Attendees will also receive tips on how to talk effectively with patients (or the public) about fluoride. Concerns regarding compounds that are being suggested as possible alternatives to fluoride will also be discussed.
WHEN: Wednesday, January 28th, 6:00 to 8:00 pm
WHERE: Weber State University, Davis Campus. Building D2 Room 110CE: 2 Refreshments served
