Yesterday, the Utah State Capitol was filled with the voices of dental hygienists and dental hygiene students from across the state as more than 270 advocates gathered for Utah Dental Hygienists’ Association Day at the Capitol. United by a shared commitment to patient care, professional growth, and access to oral health services, attendees met with legislators to educate, advocate, and show strong support for Utah HB 414 and dental hygiene in Utah.

This impactful day highlighted the dedication of Utah’s dental hygiene community to advancing the profession and strengthening oral health outcomes for the people of Utah. From first-time student advocates to seasoned professionals, participants demonstrated the power of collective advocacy and the importance of having dental hygienists at the table when healthcare policy is shaped.

UDHA Day at the Capitol served as a powerful reminder that when dental hygienists show up, speak up, and work together, meaningful change is possible.
